Reasons to Host a Fundraiser on a Farm

Mercier Orchards recently sponsored a fund-raiser on the Farm entitled “Move to the Groove,’ for LUNGevity, the nation's leading lung cancer-focused nonprofit, changing outcomes for people with lung cancer through research, education, and support.

Almost $20,000 was raised for the event with both sponsor and in-kind sponsors supporting the event.  Four different bands performed and entertained the crowd of over 200 people who enjoyed moving to the groove!

Reasons to host a Fundraiser on a Farm

  •          It has broad appeal…an event everyone will enjoy
  •          It builds community awareness and raises critically-needed funds for a very                                 worthy cause
  •          It stimulates exposure and a way to generate new customers
  •          It's active! It’s a great way to do good and feel good.
  •          It’s a great way to lure locals and visitors to your farm
  •          It’s a great way to engage employees when they are fully involved in, enthusiastic              about and committed to participating in a worthy cause

Fund-raiser events are very labor intensive requiring extensive coordination, planning and extra effort; however, the benefits and outcome far outweigh the undertaking.
