Webinar 3: Safety on the Agritourism Farm

An agritourism operation is a working farm that invites the public to experience their food or goods as it’s grown, harvested, and/or eaten. Farms naturally have an increased safety risk with large machinery, animals, chemicals (even the organic ones), trucks…you name it. When you add the public you are adding a whole new level of safety risks. This webinar should be appropriate for agritourism owners, operators, managers and employees as it will overview aspects such as:

Importance of Planning

  • Building safety
  • Security
  • First Aid and Training Employees
  • Animal and Public Interactions
  • Severe Weather Actions (hello Hurricane Irma!)
  • Child Safety
  • Documentation, documentation, documentation
